I like this Cook and Pour series set, it's unique pourspout and colander cover allows for easy pouring, straining and helps to avoid spills. The material is made by 18/10 stainless steel from Germany which is suitable for gas, electric, ceramic and induction cookers. The quality is considered good as compared to others brand, thick material and nonstick. By far, this is easy to use and is virtually nonstick though somewhat less effective than true nonstick coatings. I use it on a gas cooktop and it heats up quickly. Moon cake box from Concorde hotel

I've got this free gift from a bank by this year. The moon cake has a very luxury packaging and classic China feel. When you look at the box with slightly different view,  you can see the 3D image is appearing on the main box. It don't seems can get to buy from outside shopping mall with this design, I saw a different design selling in a super market with same brand. The box seems to be very unique. Mid Autumn festival is just around the corner. This is a quite important day to all Chinese cultural. They will get this chance to celebrate the festival with family and friends. BBQ and enjoy to look at the big round moon at this day.

Mooncake is popular at this moment and has various types of flavors available in the market. Currently the best selling mooncake would be the durian taste and hazelnut chocolate mooncake. You will see everywhere is selling all these flavors.There is another new taste which is containing birdnest and custard. I haven't try this out yet, as I not sure what kind of birdnest they put it on.

Learn to be silence

The Cancer Truth Seminar by Eu Yan Sang

It was a health seminar about cancer reveals organised by Eu Yan Sang. The tickets is RM99 for 2 pax if you are Eu Yan Sang member, else you are going to pay for RM120 per pax. I was invited to go by my sister to replace my mom, as she was not able to make it in the morning. The seminar started at 8 a.m. morning and if you could come earlier, there is breakfast provided and free body checkup before the talk starts. There is also several products selling outside the ballroom, you may get discount or cheaper a bit compared to the store.

The speakers are all specialist doctor in the cancer from local and Taiwan. They are providing general info about the cancer screening tests, how's it grow, how to prevent cancer, treatments and so on. It is a very good knowledge to understand it as nobody can guess who is the next to have this disease. Well, our body is made up of trillions of living cells. These cells grow, divide, and die in an orderly fashion. Cancer cells originate from normal cells when their DNA or blue prints within the cell nucleus is damaged. When DNA is damaged in a normal cell, the cell either repairs the damage or the cell dies. In cancer cells, the damaged DNA is not repaired, and the cell does not die. This may be inherited from parents or may be a spontaneous problem that occurs during the lifetime of a person such as environmental toxins as those present in cigarette smoke. There are, however, multiple factors that may cause cancer and it is difficult to pin point an exact cause.

KL Haze in a summer day, June 2013

Haze again? I remember there is often to happen once a year when comes to summer. During the hot sunny days, haze is coming down from Indonesia again due to the forest fires. First the smoky haze hit Singapore, the warning comes as they are suffers the highest levels of air pollution and few days later it blows deeper into Malaysia. How can we get some relief from haze? Apologise from Indonesia? Sue them when you have lung disease? Don't you think apologise can solve anything? Hey, there is two countries are suffering from the bad smoke that makes everyone hard to breath and lead to our health is on risky everyday. So who's going to stop this and who should bear this responsibility?

My 1st Taiwan Trip 2013

Taiwan is the most relaxing trip for me. At the first time, I don't feel like going there. Look at the pictures itself is not really special for me and not attractive such as "mountain, pasar malam alike, shoplots etc where also can be seen in other places" as my parents had the same thought as me now.

Eventually it was proved that I were wrong. Taiwan is really really a wonderful place for shopping, eat/drinks, and beautiful scenery all above my expectation. Security there is far better than our country, at least I can walk alone in Taipei without any threat of robbery. However, we still need to be caution of any incident happen. Overall, Taiwan is a great place to visit. I'm starting fall in love with Taiwan now.

BOA First Concert in Taipei 2013

BOA 宝儿 First Solo Concert in Taipei, 18-5-2013 Saturday.

My first ever Taiwan trip and joined the first concert in Taipei on year 2013. When I was arrived in TaoYuan Airport, immediately I went up to 7 eleven at 2nd floor and buy the BOA concert ticket at the iBon kiosk.  The ticket prices are available to RM200, RM300, and RM500. All the tickets are nearly sold out, and only RM500 tickets are limited to available. It was my luck to get the two third front seats (Special C) from the stage. I can see the BOA face very clearly and there is also have two screen protectors installed on two phase separately in front of the stage in case your view is blocked by your front people.

The IonSpec eyeglasses may not be comfortable to wear during the first time. I think the side effect is vary according to different people and have the different eyes condition. Yes, it does have the side effect. You may not be surprised that an eyeglasses can lead to the side effect. I would say it is a good side effect. It is not a normal glasses, it is IonSpec with negative ions spectacle frame. I have serious astigmatism and eyesight problem which has tested by eyes specialist and I got advised from the doctor to try out Lasik last time, somehow there is a risk for the Lasik surgery. So I refused to go for Lasik.

You will have odd feeling once you are wearing it. The feeling is good for your eyes. I not sure how you will feel but for me, I felt dizzy sick and have a sore head after wore for a week. I decided to take it off and rest for few days although it is not advisable as it need to be wearing oftenly at least 8 hours to 10 hours. After my dizziness getting better, again I wear it during my working time. Right after, I have mild head pain and yet not adapt to it. As time has past I started get used to the spec.  Since there is a choice can make your eyes feel better, why don't you give a try on this spec. It is truly effective for me, at least now I can save up the money from the Lasik surgery.

My suggestion is you need to wear the Ion Spec everyday if you intended to see the result. No doubts, I have worn it after a year in conjunction with eyes massage the way you can do is tapping lightly surround the eyes area.

If you are looking for IonSpec, no harm to give it a try. Just you need to wear it everyday to get the best result. Besides, there's nothing better than eating healthy. Eating more carrots and blueberries which are good for your vision. Those foods are contained high Vitamin A. Nutrient essential for good vision. Eating carrots or blueberries will provide you with the small amounts of Vitamin A needed for good vision.

CNY Snake Year 2013 - Pineapple Tart Cookies 黄梨饼

This coming 10th Feb 2013, Sunday will be celebrated Chinese New Year. According to the Chinese Five element Astrology Calendar, 2013 is the year of Water Snake. The color of Water in Five Elements system is related to Black. Therefore we can say 2013 is a Black Snake, Water Snake.

Well apparently I am not a FengShui master, I will not clear about if there have a better luck in the forthcoming year. My purpose of writing this is to mention about what kind of astrology on this year. Basically, Snake Year sounds horrific because of "Snake" is not a friendly animal, not everyone can accept them and me either. But for some people would say that Snake sign symbolizes character traits of intelligence, gracefulness and materialism. Then it have to refer back to Chinese Zodiac Sign for more info. Anyhow, it is just a sign of the year, it won't affect to my life. After we all have survived from the prediction of 2012 doomsday, life still need to go on, we all have to challenge the whole new year again and going back to working life.

Ok, let's stop about Chinese Zodiac sign. Now I am going to post about my cookies for the coming CNY. Yes, please don't laugh at me yea! I know I am not good in baking cookies and I never learned any before too. Pineapple tart is one of my most favorite cookies. I'm craving for it very much recently. My mom bought me a lot of pineapple tarts but it still can't fulfill my desirable, the taste is not right for me. I have a very high demand on it, the taste of pineapple tart must be fresh enough and not too sweet and sour. But it seems I still can find any in market. Therefore, I decided to make it myself. I always admire those can make very yummy pineapple tarts. This recipe was found by a cook book and combine with internet info.

Finally I could make something for coming CNY. That's give me plenty of time to practice. This recipe is just right to my taste. I like the pastry which is melt in the mouth but not fragile when I hold it with my fingers. The homemade pineapple fillings just suit to my taste which is not too dry or too wet. My family and relatives all like pineapple tarts. It's good to learn and make some for them. I realized that the reason of pineapple tarts are always expensive than other cookies because it's very time-consuming. Some of my friends will order from me too. I charged them the cost price for cookies's ingredients only, not earning purpose. The most important for me is to see them enjoy my homemade pineapple tarts.

Korea's Souvenir from a friend

Today I was surprised to received a souvenir from an old primary school friend and she is Shirley Mun. She has travelled to Korea on last year October 2012 and brought me some souvenirs from Korea trip. Today she drove me to Starbucks and enjoyed talking in the whole evening. Nice meeting her again since we last met on few months ago.
