Haze again? I remember there is often to happen once a year when comes to summer. During the hot sunny days, haze is coming down from Indonesia again due to the forest fires. First the smoky haze hit Singapore, the warning comes as they are suffers the highest levels of air pollution and few days later it blows deeper into Malaysia. How can we get some relief from haze? Apologise from Indonesia? Sue them when you have lung disease? Don't you think apologise can solve anything? Hey, there is two countries are suffering from the bad smoke that makes everyone hard to breath and lead to our health is on risky everyday. So who's going to stop this and who should bear this responsibility?
The haze situation in KL is getting worse and worse with winds carrying smoke from hot spots in Sumatra. Every morning you can see the housing and buildings all covered by the haze. The smoke still inside the house even with door closed and air-cond is on. I set my air-purifier running all days and it only gets better air inside the room. During day and night, I put my mask on every time, as my nose is quite sensitive to the smoke. I got to drink double up the water, green tea, and any herbal drinks that can relieve the lungs. I can't even breath well when I outing for lunch, as the haze hangs heavy over the place here. Dust is on everywhere, you can see your foot all stain with white dusk, so you got to clean the floor everyday. Despite the bad haze, I still need to work regardless many schools are closed in KL and Selangor. I still going out to enjoy dating with my family and my loved ones, because I shall treasure every moments that I live now. So who's cares.
Throughout this time, if you want to get a mask, you possibly can't buy one, most likely you will get to know the pharmacies or stall is all out of stock or even if you found there is available for selling, the price of mask is ridiculous expensive. For example, 1 surgical mask is RM10.00. If you don't buy it, there's still have many people would want to buy it. So they're not afraid of losing customer though. For myself, I always get prepared to stock in a boxes of mask at home in case when there is needed. I also bought a very cute ones when I traveling in Taiwan last month. Mask is very popular in Taiwan as the place is very dusty on varies times, the price is reasonable. You will many patterns and several choices of materials that can choose from. I'm so glad that I bought one and never think that I will get the chance to use it at this time. The mask I bought is quite thick and made by polypropylene that can use for haze, lab, medical, bee pollen etc. Inside material is melt brown which is high filter fibre. I quite like this mask, it looks very trendy for me but it is disposable, only can use in one time. Eghhh...I do hope that a strong winds come to blow away the haze in Malaysia. Strongly advise here to drink more water, less outing if possible and keep mask on to protect your lungs.
